This Aussie hailing from Melbourne is a kingpin of the global cocktail scene. Named World-Class Canadian Bartender of the Year in 2014, and Vancouver’s best bartender, his cocktailing has taken him everywhere from South Africa to Amsterdam. When not catching waves or shaking things up abroad, he’s taking the Pac Rim beverage program to incredible new heights.
As head honcho (General Manager) of The Lobby Lounge & RawBar, Taka brings over 12 years of refined hospitality expertise. Taka’s distinguished career journey has seen him playing every role from bartender to restaurant manager, and has recently landed him at Fairmont Pacific Rim where he is dedicated to curating exceptional guest experiences and cultivating a culture of excellence.
Meet our freshest culinary talent, Youssef Jbari, Chef de Cuisine, Asian Cuisine. Born in Taroudant, Morocco, Youssef has built an impressive career rooted in passion and precision. Formerly the Executive Chef at Nobu Marrakech, Youssef is known for his mastery of Japanese cuisine. He believes in respecting tradition while embracing innovation, viewing food as a cultural bridge and a means of connection. His globally influenced menu brings this philosophy to life at The Lobby Lounge & RawBar.
